This is Ska!

My favorite band concert was The Skatalites one with Juantxo Skalari, Los Pericos and Desorden Público in the Caupolican Theatre in 2014. It was the second time I saw both bands, but the first time I saw them together at the same concert.

It’s my favorite concert because I love ska, is one of my favourite music styles.

It was a great concert because The Skatalites is a pioneer band of this music style and long band from Jamaica, and the vocalist is also the original singer from Doreen Shaffer, a lady with more than 50 years of experience, that’s why she is called the “Queen of Ska”.

Juantxo Skalari was the singer of Skalariak, a band from Spain which was formed in 1996. It’s one of my favorite bans since I was a child. That’s why the mixture of both bands in a concert of Jamaican Ska and Spanish ska was perfect.

Also at the concert, I met many friends with whom I could enjoy this wonderful event.

It was great! We dance too much!

I love ska and dancing above all , it is one of the things that makes me happiest in life.
